In this past Simpson’s episode, we find Bart home alone for no more than 20 minutes and in that time he destroys the house. When Homer and Marge come home we hear Homer go off about how all Bart does is ruin the house and the things they own, and all the money Bart wastes. However, when the door bell rings, there is a company manager who has offered to have Bart’s short video of “Angry Dad” be made into a full length movie. Bart is overjoyed as is Homer who is now no longer bad mouthing his son. Within the episode small problems continue to pop up between Bart and his family, yet they always find ways around them, like when the voice for "Angry Dad" is needed, and Homer steps in and takes the role. When the movie fails as a full length feature, Lisa comes up with an idea to take out the scenes that were unappealing and turn the movie into a short film. “Angry Dad” is a hit and has the Simpsons invited to every major movie awards in the country from the Golden Globes to the Oscars. Throughout the award ceremonies it is Homer who takes the spot light and the credit for everything that has been accomplished and this begins to irritate Bart. He is upset because “Angry Dad” was his creation in the first place. Bart is finally fed up and when invited to the Oscars, doesn’t tell Homer. On accepting his Oscar it occurs to Bart that he wasn’t alone and doesn’t deserve all of the credit either as it was Lisa who came up with the idea of turning “Angry Dad” into a short film. Bart now wishes his father were on stage with him because he, along with Lisa and many producers, are the reason the short film made it this far. Bart learns that sometimes your idea needs more than just one person to take off, you need different perspectives and even other ideas to help your ideas take shape and succeed.
