In this Simpson’s episode Lisa and Bart’s class go on a field trip to the Danville dessert park, while there Bart and his friends venture off and end up daring each other into the abandoned gold mine. Lisa on the other hand ventures off in another direction completely on her own, she finds herself being attacked by to scorpions but when she stumbles into a small meadow of flowers the scorpions stop their attack interested in this Lisa takes the flowers and the scorpions back home with her and starts on a project using the flowers. Homers father moves in with the family and because he is grumpy he begins to causes problems. When Homes on er sees what Lisa’s spray made of the flowers she found in the Danville dessert is doing for the scorpions he uses it on his father and gets positive results. Lisa is upset that her father is using her creation and flushes the rest of the spray down the toilet. When a company hears of the chemical that was used on Homer’s father they ask for a sample that can be taken from Homer’s father’s sweat. The formula and is put into pill form which Bart sells and causes the older grumpy grandparents to be happy. However the side effects cause the eyeballs to pop out of their socket. When the elders see the way the younger generation is acting when things go wrong they are reminded why they are grumpy towards their kids and grandchildren. When they were younger they had to work for everything while this generation needs everything handed to them. The grandparents learn that by being grumpy and on the case of their grandchildren to remind them that they have to work hard if they want things and not everything was handed out just because someone complained about it.
